A Blog at War

Novel Update no. 2

I fell into a good rythm today. Got some good stuff written. Wrote a few scenes. It really came together. I think the “breakthrough” was brought on by my submission to the idea of writing out of order. It seemed like an uncommon idea, but now that I’ve tried it and it paid off pretty well, I might stick with it for a while. At least until it quits working for me, anyway.

Day 11 of the beardcapade. It’s coming in better than it has before. The last time I shaved and grew it out, it came in in patches. This time it’s filling in all over. I like it. Also, am I seriously blogging about my satisfaction with the growth of my facial hair? How did this happen? I’ve made a terrible mistake.

There are some less than fortunate things that I’m dealing with right now, or that I’m helping other people deal with, but I/we are dealing. It’s a complicated time, for sure, but I/we are/am getting through it. Beneath all the complications and bad stuff and uncertainty, at my core is hope. And that feeling makes the stuff on top of it less intense. Whatever happens in any arena of life is going to be a part of me forever, a part of you forever, a part of us forever. And that is a good thing, no matter what.

Also, I just finished this week’s episode of Heroes and I am LIVID!! No one messes with Hiro Nakamura.

NO ONE.
